Accreditation Process for Journalists to Continue on Rolling Basis
Hyderabad (Same Day): The process of granting accreditation to eligible journalists will continue on a rolling basis, according to Special Commissioner of the Information and Public Relations Department, C.H. Priyanka.
In an official statement issued on Monday, Ms. Priyanka clarified that journalists need not be concerned about recent media reports regarding the accreditation application process. She assured that all applications received at the State level so far will be scrutinised during the State-level Accreditation Committee meeting scheduled for April 10.
Eligible journalists will be issued new accreditation cards following the scrutiny process. She further stated that applicants are required to upload their applications online, and the issuance of accreditation cards is expected to be completed within April.
The Special Commissioner also noted that similar procedures will be followed at the district level. District-level committees are expected to convene meetings within the month to review applications and issue accreditations to eligible journalists.
She urged all eligible journalists, particularly those applying at the district level, to submit their applications online without delay.
