Urs Sharif of Shaykh-ul-Islam Imam Anwarullah Farooqi Rahmatullah Alaih
Hyderabad (Same Day): The Urs Sharif of Shaykh-ul-Islam Imam Anwar Ullah Farooqi Rahmatullah Alaih, founder of Jamia Nizamia, was marked with devotional programmes and a special session of Dars-e-Tafseer-e-Quran at Masjid-e-Hussaini, Malakpet, on Sunday afternoon.
Before the session, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat Hazrat Syed Razzaq Shah Quadri Qibla’s grandson, Ghulam Mohammed Mir Aman Ali Mirzai, popularly known as Amaan Baba, offered Salat-o-Salam at the gathering, invoking blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam.
The Qur’anic discourse, held after Zohar prayers, was delivered by Hazrat Maulana Dr. Syed Shah Murtuza Ali Soofi Haider Pasha Quadri, a senior scholar of Jamia Nizamia and a specialist in Hadith studies. Addressing the attendees, Dr. Haider Pasha highlighted the classical interpretative tradition of the Qur’aan and underscored the enduring scholarly legacy of Imam Anwarullah Farooqi.
The programme was conducted under the presidentship of Alhaj Hazrat Syed Shah Ahmed Noor Ullah Al-Hasani Al-Hussaini Quadri, Mutawalli and Sajjada-Nasheen of Astana-e-Tekmal Shareef and President of Jammiyath-ul-Mashaikh (All India). He emphasised the significance of preserving spiritual institutions founded by eminent scholars and urged the community to uphold unity and commitment to Islamic education.
A large number of devotees and students of Islamic studies attended the Urs programme, which concluded with prayers for peace and communal harmony.
