Revanth Reddy Launches Indira Dairy Pilot Project in Kodangal
Kodangal (Same Day): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday distributed proceedings to beneficiaries under the pilot phase of the State’s Indira Dairy scheme, taken up as part of the Economic Support Programme for minorities in Kodangal constituency.
The Telangana Government has sanctioned ₹10 crore for the implementation of the dairy and sheep farming project, aimed at providing sustainable livelihood opportunities to 625 minority beneficiaries. Each unit is valued at ₹2 lakh, with 80% subsidy (₹1.6 lakh) extended by the Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation (TGMFC) and the remaining 20% arranged as a bank loan.
TGMFC Chairman Mohd. Obedulla Kothwal joined the Chief Minister in handing over the proceedings to the recipients. Officials said the initiative is expected to boost dairy and sheep farming activity in the region while offering economic stability for beneficiary families.
Ministers Vakati Srihari and Damodar Rajnarsimha, along with MPs, MLCs, MLAs and several dignitaries, were present during the programme.
