BC JAC Calls for Statewide Telangana Bandh on October 18... “We Will Awaken the Anti-Reservation Forces,” Says R. Krishnaiah and Jajula
Hyderabad (Same Day): The Backward Classes Joint Action Committee (BC JAC) has called upon people across Telangana to make the state-wide bandh on October 18 a grand success, demanding justice for BC reservations.
BC JAC Chairman and MP R. Krishnaiah and Working Chairman Jajula Srinivas Goud urged all sections of society—cutting across political lines—to participate in the bandh and demonstrate the strength and unity of the BC communities.
The call came during the unveiling of the bandh wall poster at the Amaraveerula Stupam, Gun Park, in Hyderabad on Monday. The event was attended by BC JAC Vice-Chairman V.G.R. Naragoni, Co-Chairman Rajarama Yadav, Coordinators Guzza Krishna, Kulkacherla Srinivas Mudiraj, and Kundaram Ganesh Chary, among others.
Addressing the gathering, R. Krishnaiah appealed to educational institutions, business establishments, and the general public to extend full cooperation for the success of the bandh. “This bandh is not just a protest; it is a message of BC unity and self-respect. We are fighting to ensure justice for BCs, and we will not stop until that goal is achieved,” he asserted.
BC Welfare Association national president and BC JAC Working Chairman Jajula Srinivas Goud accused certain upper-caste groups of using legal mechanisms to obstruct rightful BC reservations. “It is unfair and undemocratic that the rights of the backward classes are being challenged in courts at every step,” he said.
He emphasized that the ongoing BC movement was not for personal or political gain but for the collective welfare of the BC community. “We urge BC members from all political parties to come together beyond party lines and make the October 18 Telangana Bandh a historic success,” he said, adding that time had come for BCs to resist conspiracies aimed at diluting their rights.
Srinivas Goud also appealed to all political parties to voluntarily support the bandh and to BC JAC units across the state—from village to state level—to mobilize actively for the protest.
Several BC leaders including Neela Venkatesh, Kanakala Shyam Kumar, Bhoomanna Yadav, Bhagyalakshmi, Vemula Ramakrishna, Ediga Srinivas Goud, Cherukula Rajender, Nanda Gopal, Varikuppala Madhu, Gujja Satyam, Raju Naik, Panuganti Vijay Goud, Jillapalli Anji, Madish Rajender, Nagula Srinivas Yadav, Varala Srinivas, Gnaneshwar, Raj Kumar, Gunti Mahesh, and Narasimha Chary participated in the event.
