Husband Found Dead, Wife Jumps to Death in Shock in Bengaluru Apartment

Bengaluru (Same Day):
In a tragic incident that has sent shockwaves through the city, a young tech couple from Telangana died within minutes of each other at their apartment in north Bengaluru on Monday, in what police suspect to be a case of suicide triggered by mental stress and domestic discord.

The deceased have been identified as Bhanu Chander Reddy and his wife, Bibi Shazia Siraj, both natives of Siddipet district. The couple, employed in private firms as technicians, had been living in an apartment under the Kothanur police station limits.

According to police sources, Bhanu Chander Reddy allegedly died by suicide inside a room while his wife was out. When Shazia returned home and found the door locked from inside, she grew suspicious. Despite repeated calls, there was no response. She then alerted security personnel, and the door was forcibly opened.

On entering, she found her husband lying lifeless. Unable to bear the shock, Shazia reportedly ran out and jumped from the 17th floor of the apartment building, dying on the spot.

Preliminary investigation suggests that the couple had been facing frequent arguments and were under considerable mental stress in recent months. Police believe a combination of work pressure and personal issues may have driven the couple to take the extreme steps.

Kothanur police have registered separate cases of unnatural death and shifted the bodies for post-mortem examination. “We are investigating all angles, including their personal and professional backgrounds. The exact cause will be known after the post-mortem reports,” a police official said.

The sudden and heartbreaking deaths of the young couple have left both families devastated and sparked concern over rising mental health issues among working professionals.
