Chief Minister distributes ex gratia to Madina bus fire victims’ families


Hyderabad (Same Day):
Telangana CM A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday handed over ex gratia cheques to the families of those who lost their lives in the Madinah bus fire mishap, at a programme held at the Telangana Secretariat.

The Chief Minister was accompanied by Adviser to the Government Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Minorities Welfare Minister Mohammad Azharuddin, along with chairpersons of various corporations and senior officials from the concerned departments.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Reddy expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of the State government’s continued support. He said the ex gratia assistance was being extended as an immediate relief measure and reiterated that the government stood firmly by the victims during their time of distress.

Mr. Shabbir conveyed his sympathies to the families and said the administration was committed to ensuring that such incidents are thoroughly investigated. Mr. Azharuddin stated that the Minorities Welfare Department would extend all necessary assistance to the affected families.

Senior officials briefed the Chief Minister on the status of relief and rehabilitation measures initiated following the mishap. The government has also directed the concerned authorities to submit a detailed report on the circumstances leading to the fire and recommend steps to prevent recurrence.

The ex gratia distribution was attended by family members of the victims, who received the cheques from the Chief Minister and other dignitaries.
