Youth, women must lead political renewal: Kappati Panduranga Reddy

Hyderabad (Same Day):
Calling for a new political renewal rooted in values and public service, Telangana Jagruti Ranga Reddy district president Kappati Panduranga Reddy on Wednesday said meaningful social change is possible only when committed youth entered politics in large numbers.

Speaking to media along with Jagruti leaders Kummari Shiva Shankar and Undela Baburao, Mr. Reddy observed that value-based politics, once a defining feature of public life, was steadily declining. In a rapidly changing society, he said, the participation of young people with fresh ideas and aspirations had become a historical necessity.

Emphasising the need to nurture contemporary leadership, Mr. Reddy said encouraging youth-oriented politics aligned with modern challenges would help lay a strong foundation for the future of Telangana. Such leadership, he added, could also serve as a model for the next generation.

He said Telangana Jagruti, under the leadership of Kalvakuntla Kavitha, is being shaped as a political platform with a firm belief that social transformation could be achieved through democratic and parliamentary means. The organisation, he noted, is giving priority to youth participation while ensuring due representation for women, in keeping with the aspirations of grassroots activists.

Stating that Jagruti aimed to set a new trend in State politics, Mr. Reddy said the organisation is committed to working with a long-term vision that would leave a lasting imprint on public life. He appealed to young people to actively participate in what he described as a collective social and political endeavour.
