Tributes paid to Prof. Keshavarao Jadav on birth anniversary

Hyderabad (Same Day):
Tributes were paid on Tuesday to veteran ideologue and Telangana movement leader Prof. Keshavarao Jadav on his birth anniversary, recalling his unwavering commitment to the cause of a separate Telangana and his lifelong struggle for social justice.

Leaders and activists remembered Prof. Jadav as a symbol of integrity and ideological clarity, noting that he remained in the forefront of every major phase of the Telangana movement — from the Mulki agitation of 1952 to the formation of the State in 2014. His life, they said, constitutes an enduring chapter in the history of the Telangana struggle.

A scholar-activist deeply influenced by Lohiaite thought, Prof. Jadav consistently championed democratic values and social equality. He consciously stayed away from positions of power, dedicating himself instead to articulating the aspirations of the people of Telangana. His role in the Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) was described as crucial in mobilising diverse sections of society and providing ideological direction to the movement.

Speaking on the occasion, Kappati Panduranga Reddy, president of Telangana Jagruti, Ranga Reddy district, and former chairman of the Ranga Reddy District Library Organisation, said that the most meaningful tribute to Prof. Jadav would be to uphold his ideals and actively participate in the reconstruction of Telangana.

Participants observed that Prof. Keshavarao Jadav’s contribution would continue to inspire future generations committed to democratic struggles and regional self-respect.
