Muslim Samaikya Vedika submits memorandum to Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Guntur Anjuman lands
Guntur (Same Day): A delegation of the Muslim Samaikya Vedika, led by its State president Syed Salahuddin along with State committee members, met former Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday to seek his intervention in the Guntur Anjuman lands issue.
The delegation submitted a memorandum outlining their concerns and efforts to safeguard the Anjuman lands, stating that the matter had significant legal and community implications. They urged political support to protect the lands and address what they described as irregularities affecting the interests of the community.
According to the representatives, Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy responded positively and assured them of his party’s full support to the movement. He is said to have stated that, should his party return to power, the relevant Government Order (GO) would be withdrawn. He also cautioned lessees in connection with the issue, the delegation said.
Among those present at the meeting were State committee members Sardar Abdul Kalam, Maula Beg, Aziz and Naseema Begum.
The Muslim Samaikya Vedika reiterated its commitment to pursuing legal and democratic means to protect the Anjuman lands and called for broader support to resolve the issue in a transparent manner.
