Nitin Nabin to Visit Telangana Next Month: BJP State Chief

Hyderabad (Same Day): BJP National Working President Nitin Nabin will visit Telangana next month, State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao announced.

Mr. Rao made the announcement after a courtesy meeting with Mr. Nabin in New Delhi. He said the proposed visit would give fresh momentum to the party’s organisational strengthening in Telangana.

Briefing the media, Mr. Rao said detailed discussions were held on the current political situation in the State, measures required to strengthen the BJP, and the programmes planned in the coming months. He added that Mr. Nabin offered valuable suggestions on action plans and strategies aimed at expanding the party’s base and improving its prospects in the State.

Raising concerns over the functioning of the State legislature, Mr. Rao demanded that the Telangana Assembly sessions be conducted for at least one month to allow detailed discussions on key issues and public grievances. He criticised the State government for, what he alleged, deliberately raising new issues to divert public attention from unresolved problems.

The BJP State president also cautioned party leaders against indiscipline, warning that “leak-heroes” within the organisation could weaken the party if internal discipline was not maintained.

On electoral reforms, Mr. Rao reiterated the party’s demand for the implementation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana. He alleged the presence of illegal votes linked to Pakistanis, Bangladeshis and Rohingyas, and said such votes must be removed to ensure free and fair elections.

During the meeting, Mr. Nitin Nabin emphasised the need for collective effort and disciplined organisational work, expressing confidence that better results could be achieved through coordinated action, Mr. Rao said.
