Eminent Islamic Scholar Maulana Mufti Abdul Wahab Qasmi Passes Away


Nellore (Same Day): Maulana Mufti Abdul Wahab Qasmi, a senior Islamic scholar of Andhra Pradesh and Sheikh-ul-Hadith, passed away on Sunday after a brief illness. He was the founder and rector of Jamia Noor-ul-Huda, Nellore, and was widely respected for his lifelong service to Islamic education, religious guidance and community reform.

Known for his scholarship in Hadith, jurisprudence and Islamic jurisprudence (ifta), Maulana Qasmi played a key role in nurturing generations of students and strengthening religious institutions across Andhra Pradesh. Several madrasas, mosques and maktabs in the State functioned under his guidance and patronage.

Scholars, students and members of the public have expressed deep grief over his demise, describing it as an irreparable loss to the religious and academic community.
