Students Felicitate Addl. DCP M.A. Majeed at Dawn High School


Hyderabad (Same Day): Students of Dawn High School, Purani Haveli, on Monday felicitated South Zone Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police M.A. Majeed during a special programme held on the school premises.

The event was organised to honour Mr. Majeed for his services in strengthening community policing and fostering a safe environment for students in the Old City. Addressing the gathering, he encouraged students to stay focused on their education, uphold discipline, and contribute positively to society. He also highlighted the importance of awareness on cyber safety and civic responsibility among young learners.

Chairman of the Dawn Institutes, Mr. Fazl Ur Rahman Khurram, who presided over the function, appreciated the efforts of the police in maintaining law and order and ensuring the safety of schoolchildren. He said such interactions help build confidence among students and motivate them to pursue their goals with determination.

Adding to the woes, patients are also being asked to bring their own empty bottles to collect traditional halwa-based medicines—a practice described as both inconvenient and degrading by social activists and patient families. Hyderabad (Same Day): Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), has invited online applications for admission to its array of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes for the academic year 2025–2026. The academic session is scheduled to commence from July–August 2025.
