Several BRS Leaders from Kamareddy Join Congress in the presence of Shabbir Ali
Hyderabad (Same Day): In a significant political development in the Kamareddy Assembly segment, a group of senior leaders from the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) resigned from the party and formally joined the Congress on Friday.
Balagoni Raja Goud, a senior BRS leader and Chairman of the local Cooperative Society, led the group of leaders who shifted their allegiance. Among those who joined him were Reddy Sangham Mandal Vice-President Satish Reddy, along with Bandi Baba Goud, Venkataswamy Goud, Swami Goud, Ramu Goud, Sooram Sridhar, Dhanaraj, Merupula Ganesh, Kashagoni Srinivas, Bhushan, Swami Mudiraj, and Chalmada Babu.
The leaders joined the Congress in the presence of Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, who formally welcomed them into the party by offering the Congress scarf.
Senior Congress leaders, including Bhageereddy, Surender Reddy, Eshwar Reddy, Ellam Reddy, Sattaiah, Srinivas, and Balu Santosh, were also present during the induction programme.
The shift is being viewed as a boost for the Congress in Bhiknoor mandal ahead of local political realignments in the region.
