‘Owaisi’s Words Echo a Larger Truth,’ Says BC JAC Chairman Jajula Srinivas

Hyderabad (Same Day)
:
BC JAC Chairman Jajula Srinivas Goud on Tuesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress, accusing the party of “betraying the Backward Classes” by proceeding with the panchayat elections without providing statutory backing to 42% reservation for BCs.

Addressing a press conference at Somajiguda Press Club along with representatives of various BC organisations, Mr. Srinivas said the Congress government had “politically sidelined” BC communities despite making tall promises before the elections. He termed the move a “grave injustice” and called upon BC voters across Telangana to “stand united and defeat the Congress.”

Referring to remarks made recently by AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi during the Jubilee Hills by-election, where he stated that his party had supported the victory of candidate Anil Yadav and not the Congress, Mr. Srinivas said, “I am only repeating what Mr. Owaisi himself has clearly stated. His words reflect the political reality.”

The BC JAC leader also extended his criticism to the BJP, alleging that both national parties had consistently failed to safeguard BC interests. He urged BC communities to teach a lesson to both the Congress and the BJP, whom he described as “equally indifferent” to the socio-political rights of Backward Classes.

Mr. Srinivas reiterated that the agitation for full BC reservations would intensify in the coming days, and warned that the government should be prepared for statewide protests if their demands continue to be ignored.
