Advocate Attacked in City Mall, Suffers Permanent Hearing Loss....



Hyderabad (Same Day): In a disturbing incident, city-based advocate Habeeb Rizwan Al Hashmi was assaulted by an unidentified man at a local mall in Madannapet police station under the southeast zone limits on Saturday night, resulting in a serious and permanent ear injury.

According to the complaint, Rizwan was shopping with his wife when an unknown assailant suddenly attacked him and fled the spot. He was first shifted to Osmania General Hospital, where doctors advised further evaluation. At the Government ENT Hospital Kothi, specialists performed an endoscopy and confirmed that his left eardrum had been torn, leading to over 80% irreversible hearing loss.

The advocate submitted the MLC report along with the endoscopy video to the police on Saturday night.vThe Madannapet Police registered a case against an unknown person based on his complaint filed on November 22, 2025.

Expressing distress over the attack, the advocate Rizwan has appealed to the community to protest the incident and help exert pressure to ensure the culprit is identified and punished. Police officials said they are examining CCTV footage from the mall and other available evidence to trace the suspect. Further investigation is underway.
