Job Calendar Demand: Unemployed Youth to Hold Massive Convention on October 24: R. Krishnaiah

Hyderabad (Same Day):
BC Welfare Association president and MP R. Krishnaiah has demanded that the Telangana government immediately announce a Job Calendar and take steps to fill two lakh vacant government posts across various departments. He criticised the government for failing to complete even 60,000 recruitments in the past two years despite issuing several notifications.

Mr. Krishnaiah announced that a State-level Unemployed Youth Convention will be held at Jalavihar, Hyderabad, on October 24, with thousands of participants expected to attend. He urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to take personal interest in addressing the growing unemployment crisis in the State.

He alleged that many government departments were facing acute staff shortages and that several officials were misleading the government by underreporting the number of vacancies. “Even after the formation of 23 new districts, 131 mandals, 76 municipalities, 7 municipal corporations, and multiple police divisions, the government has not sanctioned adequate posts to these new administrative units,” he pointed out.

Mr. Krishnaiah stated that if all the newly created offices were provided with sanctioned staff, nearly one lakh additional posts could be generated. He called for transparent recruitment under the direct recruitment quota for Group-I, Group-II, Group-III, and Group-IV services.

He further added that inducting the younger generation into the government machinery through direct recruitment would ensure efficient and corruption-free administration. “The energy and integrity of youth can significantly contribute to the development of society,” he said.

Prominent leaders including Gujja Krishna, Vemula Ramakrishna, Anji, Ananthayya, Redapaka Ravi, Kayya Venkatesh, Shankar Naik, Balakoti, Ravikumar, Sindhu Reddy, Ramakant, and Praveen Kumar participated in the meeting.
