Intermediate Exam Schedule Finalised in Telangana... Exams to be held from February 25 to March 18

Hyderabad (Same Day):
The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has finalised the schedule for the Intermediate Public Examinations. The exams will be conducted from February 25 to March 18, 2026. Officials also announced that first-year students will have both lab and practical examinations as part of the curriculum. The timely announcement of dates has brought clarity to students and educational institutions across the State.

Meanwhile, the Government Junior Lecturers’ Association (GJLA) has expressed serious concern over the new evaluation system, which allocates 20 per cent internal and 80 per cent external marks. Association president Madhusudan Reddy said the move could lead to a decline in academic standards.

“Practical exams have already become a mere formality in many private and corporate colleges. Introducing internal marks will further encourage arbitrary practices by such institutions. The government must reconsider this decision in the interest of maintaining educational standards,” he said.

The Association urged the State government to hold consultations with teachers’ bodies before implementing the policy.
