Telangana unveils new welfare schemes for minorities

The Telangana Government has introduced two new welfare schemes aimed at promoting socio-economic empowerment of minority communities.

Minister for SC, ST and Minority Welfare, Adluri Laxman Kumar, launched the Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana and Revanthanna Ka Sahara – For the Miskeens.

The Indiramma Minority Mahila Yojana will provide financial assistance of ₹50,000 to widows, divorcees, orphans, and unmarried women from minority communities to start small businesses. Meanwhile, the Revanthanna Ka Sahara scheme will extend mopeds with a grant of up to ₹1 lakh for members of the Fakir and Dudekula communities.

An outlay of ₹30 crore has been earmarked for these schemes, reflecting Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s emphasis on inclusive growth and minority welfare.

Registrations will be open from September 19 to October 6, 2025, and applications can be submitted through the official portal: tgobmms.cgg.gov.in.
