Safeguarding Democracy is Every Citizen’s Duty: Dr. Diddi Sudhakar

Aam Aadmi Party Telangana State In-Charge Convenor Dr. Diddi Sudhakar on Sunday underscored the need to protect democracy and uphold the independence of the judiciary, describing it as the responsibility of every citizen.

He was speaking at the Save Democracy seminar organised jointly by the Telangana State Democratic Forum and Jago Nava Telangana at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram, Baghlingampally, Hyderabad.

The seminar was presided over by retired judge Justice B. Chandrakumar, who cautioned that the weakening of institutions such as the Election Commission and the judiciary would endanger the democratic fabric of the nation.

Dr. Sudhakar observed that safeguarding democratic institutions was essential to securing the country’s future. The event drew participation from intellectuals, activists and representatives of several people’s organisations.
