BCs’ Political Intellectual Conclave in Warangal on September 19

Hyderabad (Same Day):
A state-level BCs’ Political Intellectual Conclave will be held in Warangal on September 19 to deliberate on the enhancement of reservations in local body elections and chart out future political strategies, BC Welfare Association national president Jajula Srinivas Goud announced on Tuesday.

In a statement, Mr. Goud alleged that conspiracies were underway to prevent the increase of BC reservations to 42 per cent. He said the conclave would serve as a platform to expose such moves and to lay the foundation for a renewed political movement of the Backward Classes in Telangana.

He further stated that the meeting would also discuss and finalise plans for a massive public rally to be held in Bhongir after the Dussehra festival, which is expected to draw lakhs of BC participants.

Intellectuals, leaders of caste associations, employees’ unions, women’s groups, and student leaders from all 33 districts of Telangana are expected to attend the conclave, he added.
