Telugu Language Day celebrated at Government Degree College, Chanchalguda... Emphasis laid on the significance of mother tongue and linguistic heritage

The Department of Telugu at Government Degree College, Chanchalguda, organised Telugu Bhasha Dinotsavam (Telugu Language Day) on Friday to commemorate the richness and legacy of the Telugu language. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and students.

Presiding over the function, College Principal Dr. K. Praveen Kumar highlighted the historical depth and literary grandeur of the Telugu language. Vice Principal Dr. G. Nagoji, Academic Coordinator Mr. V. Srinivasulu, and IQAC Coordinator Mr. M. Naveen also addressed the gathering, stressing the need to promote the use of Telugu in daily communication, especially among the younger generation.

Head of the Telugu Department, Mr. P. Anjaneyulu, spoke about the evolution of the language and its role in preserving cultural identity.

As part of the celebrations, student A. Sreekanth was felicitated for securing admission into the M.A. Telugu programme at the University of Hyderabad (HCU). Faculty and students congratulated him and wished him success in his academic journey.

The programme concluded with cultural performances and literary discussions. Faculty members, assistant professors, and a large number of students attended, making the event a grand success.
