Rural Development in Focus as ‘PanuLa Jathara’ Gains Momentum in Bachupalli by Kappati Panduranga Reddy

As part of the second phase of the State government's flagship Palle Jathara programme, aimed at accelerating rural development, employment generation, and strengthening infrastructure in villages, senior officials and public representatives gathered in Bachupalli village to initiate key development works.

Former Chairman of the Ranga Reddy District Library Committee, Mr. Kappati Panduranga Reddy, along with Special Officer Mr. Khaja Habibuddin, Secretary Mr. Srinivas and Indiramma Committee members, participated in the local Panula Jathara (Festival of Works).

Under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS), an ₹80,000 cattle shed was inaugurated. Additionally, a ₹25,000 compost pit was initiated with a formal ground-breaking (muhurat) ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Panduranga Reddy said, “The State government has allocated ₹2,199 crore under the 'Panula Jathara' to undertake over one lakh development works across Telangana villages. This ambitious initiative will be completed by March 2026, with a focus on sustainable employment and rural infrastructure.”

He described the programme as a non-political festival of development, bringing together various departments and stakeholders to improve the quality of life in rural areas. The initiative is being implemented in coordination with MGNREGS, Swachh Bharat Mission, Panchayat Raj Engineering Department, and the Rural Water Supply Department.

As part of the programme, Gram Panchayat staff were felicitated for their services.vAmong those present were MGNREGS Field Assistant Mr. Maddela Ramulu, former Sarpanch Mr. Yalala Srinivas, Congress Mandal President Mr. Chevulapalli Krishna, SC Cell Mandal President Mr. Venkatesh, and Indiramma Committee members Mr. Yugender Reddy, Mr. Naveen Goud, Mr. Vijay Kumar, and Mr. Devender Goud, among others.
