Government Nizamia Tibbi College Vice Principal Receives Urdu Academy Best Teacher Award
Hyderabad (Same Day): In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the promotion of the Urdu language in the field of Unani medicine, Dr. Anjum Sultana, Vice Principal of Government Nizamia Tibbi College, Hyderabad, was conferred the Best Teacher Award by the Telangana Urdu Academy.
The award was presented by the Academy Chairman, Mr. Taher Bin Hamdan, at a special felicitation ceremony held at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan auditorium in King Kothi on Tuesday. The event saw the distribution of awards to 173 meritorious teachers from across the state for their dedication and service to Urdu education.
Dr. Sultana has been instrumental in initiating and leading several Urdu language development programs at the historic Nizamia Tibbi College over the past few years. Her efforts have significantly contributed to preserving and promoting the use of Urdu in Unani medical education.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Hamdan highlighted the importance of recognizing educators who go beyond their academic roles to contribute to the cultural and linguistic heritage of the state. Syed Azmathullah Hussaini, Telangana Waqf Board Chairman and Mr. Sajjad Ali, Academy Director were present at the occasion.
The event was attended by officials from the Department of Minority Welfare, educationists, and dignitaries from the Urdu literary community.
