Gazetted Officers’ Association celebrates 79th Independence Day in Hyderabad... President Eluri Srinivasa Rao hoists National Flag; calls for justice to Telangana employees

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at the central office of the Telangana Gazetted Officers’ Association on Friday. Association President Mr. Eluri Srinivasa Rao hoisted the National Flag and addressed the gathering, recalling the sacrifices and contributions of employees in the Telangana statehood movement.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Srinivasa Rao emphasised that the formation of Telangana was realised with the spirit of the movement inspired by Prof. Jayashankar is grounded in the constitutional principles laid down by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, particularly Article 3 of the Indian Constitution. He, however, expressed concern over the plight of government employees in the state over the past decade.

“Despite playing a vital role in the formation of Telangana, employees have faced severe injustices in the last ten years,” he remarked. He assured that the Telangana Gazetted Officers’ Association would continue to lead efforts for protecting the rights of employees across departments.

He also announced the formation of a Joint Action Committee (JAC) comprising Gazetted Officers, employees, pensioners, and teachers. The TGO (Telangana Gazetted Officers) Association will play a key role in this JAC, with the organisation’s General Secretary serving in a leadership capacity.

“The JAC will consistently fight for the rights of all employees, teachers, and pensioners. At the same time, it is the responsibility of government employees to implement welfare schemes with sincerity and ensure inclusive development across all communities,” he said.

General Secretary A. Satyanarayana, Associate President Shyam, Parameshwar Reddy, Venkateshwarlu, Niranjan Reddy, Khadar, Sireesha, Srinivasulu, Swarnalatha, and Krishnayya Yadav were present at the event.
