Former Governor Bandaru Dattatraya Offers Prayers at Khairatabad Ganesh

Hyderabad (Same Day):
Shri Bandaru Dattatraya, former Governor and senior BJP leader, offered prayers at the iconic Khairatabad Ganesh pandal on Friday, marking the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Navratri celebrations.

Amid traditional chants and festive fervour, Mr. Dattatraya visited the pandal located near the Khairatabad Library, which is renowned for hosting one of the tallest and most elaborately decorated Ganesh idols in the country. He was accompanied by local party workers and devotees, who gathered in large numbers to seek blessings of Lord Ganesha.

Speaking to media persons after the darshan, Mr. Dattatraya expressed his devotion and extended greetings to the people of Telangana. “Ganesh Chaturthi symbolises unity, devotion, and cultural richness. I pray for the well-being and prosperity of all citizens,” he said.

The Khairatabad Ganesh Utsav Committee, which organises the celebrations annually, has made elaborate arrangements for crowd management and safety, including barricades, CCTV surveillance, and sanitation facilities.

This year’s idol, themed around “Sri Lakshmi Ganapathi,” stands at an impressive height and continues to draw thousands of devotees from across the state.
