Urs-e-Shareef of Hazrath Syed Shabbir Hussaini Observed with Devotion in Kosgi Shareef

Kosgi (Same Day):
The annual Urs-e-Shareef commemorating the revered Sufi saint Hazrath Syed Shabbir Hussaini (RA), known as Shahid-e-Deccan, was observed with solemnity and spiritual fervour at Kosgi Shareef on Friday. The event drew a large gathering of devotees and spiritual followers from across the region.

The Urs also honoured the spiritual legacy of Hazratha Ladli Bi Maa Sahiba (RA), Hazratha Syeda Munna Bee Sahiba (RA), a descendant of Hazrat Khwaja Banda Nawaz (RA) of Gulbarga Shareef, and Hazrath Syed Shah Habeebullah Hussaini, the noble grandson of Hazrath Syed Shah Jalaaluddin Hussaini of Gogi Shareef.

The commemorative rituals were led under the spiritual guidance of Hazrath Syed Shah Khwaja Chanda Hussaini (Baqtiyar Baba), Farzandan-e-Mutawalli and Sajjada Nasheen of Bargah-e-Shabbiriya wa Habibiya, and held under the patronage of Hazrath Syed Shah Ismail Hussaini (Asif Baba), Mutawalli and Sajjada Nasheen of Bargah-e-Jalaliya, Gogi Shareef.

As part of the traditional ceremonies, devotees offered chaddar and flowers at the sacred dargah, followed by recitation of Salaam and Fatiha. The gathering was marked by an atmosphere of piety, spiritual reflection, and remembrance.

Arrangements for community meals (ta’am) were made for attendees by the custodians of the shrine. The event was peacefully conducted, reflecting the region's long-standing tradition of Sufi syncretism and communal harmony.

Local officials and community leaders were also present, appreciating the Urs as an occasion that promotes unity, devotion, and the spiritual values of Sufism.
