Railways to Recruit 30,307 Graduates; Applications Open from August 30


New Delhi (Same Day): The Indian Railways has announced a major recruitment drive to fill 30,307 vacancies across various departments, under two notifications — CEN No. 03/2025 and CEN No. 04/2025 — aimed at graduate-level candidates.

According to the official notification issued by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), the application process will commence on August 30, 2025, and will remain open until September 29, 2025 (23.59 hours).

The large-scale recruitment drive comes in response to a significant number of vacancies across zones, with officials indicating that the appointment process will be expedited this year to address staffing gaps.

A senior Railway Board official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said: “This is one of the largest recruitment efforts in recent years. Given the volume of vacancies, the selection process will be conducted in a time-bound manner.”

Candidates applying under the graduate category must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. Detailed information regarding eligibility criteria, examination pattern, and region-wise vacancies is expected to be published on the respective RRB websites.

The recruitment is likely to cover Group C posts in categories such as Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, and Station Master, though official confirmation is awaited.
