Outsourcing Employees Protest at Jal Soudha Over Pending Salaries

Hyderabad (Same Day):
Scores of outsourcing employees staged a protest on Wednesday outside the Jal Soudha office in Erram Manzil, Khairatabad, alleging non-payment of salaries for the past five months. The protest was organised under the banner of the Telangana Outsourcing JAC (Joint Action Committee).

Addressing the gathering, JAC President Puli Lakshmaiah said that the employees have been struggling to make ends meet due to the prolonged delay in salary disbursement. "Many of us are unable to pay house rent or support our families. The situation is becoming increasingly dire with each passing month," he said.

He further criticised the government for its apathy towards outsourcing staff working in public offices. "Companies like Zomato and Swiggy ensure timely payments to their delivery executives. It is unfortunate that the government fails to extend the same level of basic commitment to its own outsourced workforce," he added.

The protestors demanded immediate release of all pending dues and warned of intensified action if their demands were not met. “If the situation remains unresolved, we will be forced to march to Delhi and stage a protest outside Rahul Gandhi's residence,” warned Mr. Lakshmaiah.

The protest saw participation from several key JAC leaders, including Working President Raj Mohammed, Balakrishna, Rajasekhar, Surendra Kumar, Nagender, and Mohammed Rayees.
