Haj-2026: Application Deadline Extended to August 7... Vijayawada Added as Embarkation Point

Hyderabad (Same Day): In a significant development aimed at facilitating prospective Haj pilgrims, the Haj Committee of India on Wednesday announced an extension of the deadline for submission of Haj Application Forms (HAF) for Haj-2026. The last date for online submission has been extended until 11:59 PM on August 7, 2025. Officials confirmed that no further extension would be granted under any circumstances.

The extension comes following a series of representations from various State and Union Territory Haj Committees, especially from under-quota States, citing delays in the issuance of passports as a key reason for the low number of applications submitted so far.

In a related announcement, Vijayawada has been added as a new Embarkation Point, raising the total number to 18. Pilgrims who have already submitted their applications and wish to opt for Vijayawada can approach their respective State Haj Committees for modifications.

The Committee also stated that the Qurrah a digital random selection process will be conducted shortly after the application deadline. Provisionally selected pilgrims will be required to pay the advance Haj amount of ₹2,15,300 by August 20, 2025.

All State and Union Territory Haj Committees have been directed to publicize the revised schedule and new embarkation option widely, ensuring that all intending pilgrims are informed well in time.

For further updates, applicants are advised to stay in touch with their respective State Haj Committees or visit the official Haj Committee of India website.
