Bandaru Dattatraya pays tribute to Jaipal Reddy on the sixth death anniversary

Former Governor and senior BJP leader Bandaru Dattatraya on Monday paid rich tributes to former Union Minister S. Jaipal Reddy on the occasion of his sixth death anniversary. The commemorative event was held at the S. Jaipal Reddy Memorial on Necklace Road in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the gathering, Mr. Dattatraya recalled Mr. Reddy’s long and distinguished political career, describing him as a statesman known for his integrity, intellectual acumen, and unwavering commitment to democratic values. “He was a parliamentarian of rare calibres who stood by his convictions, regardless of political winds,” he said.

The event was attended by Telangana Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Ponnam Prabhakar, along with senior Congress leader K. Keshav Rao. They joined members of the public and party workers in offering floral tributes at the memorial.

Several speakers at the event reflected on Mr. Reddy’s contributions to national politics, particularly in the areas of urban development, petroleum, and parliamentary affairs. Known for his articulate speeches and strong advocacy of public interest, Mr. Reddy served as a Union Minister across various administrations and remained active in public life for over four decades.

The gathering also highlighted the need to remember and uphold the values that Mr. Reddy stood for transparency, secularism, and democratic dialogue.
