TJA Delegation Meets Special Commissioner I&PR


Hyderabad (Same Day): A delegation from the Telangana Journalists Association (TJA) on Saturday called on the newly appointed Special Commissioner of Information and Public Relations (I&PR), Smt. Ch. Priyanka, IAS, at her office in Samachar Bhavan, Masab Tank, to extend their greetings and submit a representation.

The TJA team was led by M.R. Ghouri, State General Secretary, and comprised Mohd Asad Ali, City Vice-President, Mohd Khaleel Ahmed, State Organising Secretary, and Yadaiah, Vice-President, among other senior members including P. Satyanarayana, Raziuddin, and Waseem Ahmed.

The Association members conveyed their congratulations to the Special Commissioner on her new role and discussed matters related to media engagement, transparency, and strengthening institutional communication between the department and journalist bodies across the State.

The meeting concluded with an assurance of mutual cooperation in upholding professional journalistic standards and ensuring timely dissemination of public information.

Hyderabad (Same Day): Patients visiting the Government Unani Hospital in Charminar are reportedly being compelled to purchase a majority of their prescribed medicines from private pharmacies, with activists claiming that over 60% of essential Unani medicines are unavailable at the facility. Adding to the woes, patients are also being asked to bring their own empty bottles to collect traditional halwa-based medicines—a practice described as both inconvenient and degrading by social activists and patient families. Maulana Azad National Urdu University Invites Applications for ODL Programmes for 2025-26

Hyderabad (Same Day): Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU), through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), has invited online applications for admission to its array of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes for the academic year 2025–2026. The academic session is scheduled to commence from July–August 2025.
