OTA Telangana NRIs Host 'Andaaz-e-Hind' Mushaira and Kavi Sammelan in Hyderabad


Hyderabad, July 20 (Same Day): In a vibrant celebration of literary heritage and cultural unity, the Overseas Telangana Associations (OTA Telangana NRIs) organised a landmark event titled Andaaz-e-Hind Mushaira & Kavi Sammelan at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Hyderabad. The gathering brought together poets, writers, and cultural aficionados from across India and the global Telangana diaspora.

The event, hosted with the support of the Department of Language & Culture, Telangana Urdu Academy, and the Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation, sought to celebrate the linguistic and poetic traditions of the region while also strengthening bonds between Telangana’s global and local communities.

The evening featured poetry recitations in Urdu and Hindi, attracting a large audience comprising dignitaries, scholars, and literary enthusiasts. Among the highlights was a special segment featuring five emerging poets from Telangana University, selected through Hyderabad. Got Talent Hunt initiative, whose performances were met with enthusiastic applause.

Prominent poets from various parts of India graced the occasion, further elevating the stature of the Mushaira and Kavi Sammelan as a national-level literary event. Their verses spanned themes of identity, harmony, and heritage, underlining the timeless relevance of poetry in contemporary society.

The event was supported by several sponsors, including Serene Vistas, Masqati Dairy, Jauhari Gold & Diamonds, Kabul Darbar, Lucky Restaurants, Arabian Nights Mandi and Origin Travels, all of whom contributed to the success of the cultural showcase.

Organisers noted that the event not only revived Hyderabad’s longstanding reputation as a cultural and literary hub but also underscored the shared values of language, art, and community among the global Telangana diaspora.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives from OTA Telangana NRIs expressed their intent to continue organising such forums to promote literary arts and cultural exchange.
