Mughal Descendant Voices Solidarity with Iran, Urges Muslim Unity Over Middle East Crisis
Hyderabad (Same Day): Prince Yakub Habeebuddin Tucy, a descendant of the Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar, issued a strong statement expressing solidarity with Iran and denouncing the recent Israeli military strikes in the region. In a press note, Prince Tucy said that “over 200 million Muslims in India stand with the oppressed and condemn the violence being inflicted upon civilians in Gaza and parts of the Middle East.” Referring to Israel’s military operations, he called them "criminal acts that must be addressed by the international community."
Prince Tucy also appealed to Muslim leaders across the Arab world to take a unified stand against what he termed as "ongoing aggression in the region." Emphasizing peaceful resistance and diplomatic pressure, he urged leaders to convene a special summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to formulate a joint strategy.
“The Muslim world cannot remain silent while innocent lives are being lost daily,” Tucy said. He reiterated that the path to justice should be pursued through international law, dialogue, and multilateral support.
The statement comes amid rising global tensions following the latest developments in the Israel-Iran conflict, which has triggered concern in diplomatic circles across Asia and the Middle East.
