Message of Peace Conference Held at Murshid Gadda Dargah in Telangana

Siddipet (Same Day): A large-scale “Message of Peace” conference was held under the aegis of the Telangana Districts Dargah Association at the revered Murshid Gadda Dargah in Siddipet. The event witnessed the participation of prominent Sufi scholars, spiritual leaders, and members of the civil society from across the state. The conference was presided over by Hazrat Syed Shah Ahmad Noorullah Hussaini, Sajjada Nasheen of the Tekmal Dargah, while the spiritual patronage was extended by Hazrat Maulana Syed Shah Ghulam Afzal Biabani Rifai Qadri Khusro Pasha, Sajjada Nasheen of Qazipet Dargah in Warangal and Chairman of the Telangana State Haj Committee. Addressing the gathering, Maulana Syed Kashif Pasha Bandanawazi outlined the objectives of the association, emphasizing the need for Dargahs to play a more proactive role in promoting moral values and communal harmony.

In his keynote address, Khusro Pasha highlighted the growing climate of intolerance and division in society. He urged custodians of Dargahs and spiritual leaders to revive and spread the inclusive teachings of the Sufi saints, who have always preached unity, love, and peace. “Irrespective of religion or community, every citizen of this country longs for peace and brotherhood,” he said, pointing to the significant presence of non-Muslim participants at the event as a testament to India's syncretic culture. The conference also featured poetic tributes in Telugu, composed by the late Hazrat Syed Shah Afzal Biabani, recited by Hazrat Maulana Shah Mohammed Hakeem Sharif Chishti Mirzai, the Sajjada Nasheen of the host dargah. The verses aimed to communicate the message of universal love and oneness to the broader Telugu-speaking audience.

Distinguished scholars who spoke at the conference included Hazrat Maulana Syed Shah Nusrat Hussain Chishti Qadri (Sajjada Nasheen of Khanqah Mohammadi Ajmeri, Adilabad) and Hazrat Maulana Khwaja Aleemuddin Nizami Biabani from Karimnagar, among others. They reiterated the role of spiritual institutions in fostering interfaith harmony and addressing modern-day challenges through spiritual guidance.

The convener extended gratitude to the visiting Sajjada Nasheens, custodians, and scholars for their participation and reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to spreading peace and unity through collaborative spiritual and community initiatives.
